5/22 - Rhet's River Grill Review, Tuesday

For breakfast Tuesday, I had a boiled egg and some mixed fruit for 2pt+ at work. The days just keep getting longer!!!

I ran home for lunch and made a fold-it with chicken salad on top. Delicious! 8pts+

I stayed at work until close to 8:00 when I decided to pack up and head home. I am so stressed with everything going on at work -hiring, recruiting, employees leaving- we are in transition. Even though I got home so late, Matt and I stuck with our plan of having dinner together at Rhett's River Grill and Raw Bar. We first found this place when looking for where to find some good peel 'em and eat 'em shrimp.

Home boy loves his shrimp.

It doesn't look like much from the outside. It's in a strip mall north of town with the name in white block letters that say "I have no restaurant personality." I was dubious. What we found was a small, family owned restaurant with deliciously fresh seafood and friendly staff. The venue still throws me, there's so much potential but kind of a fail on the delivery.

Matt and I scored a deal on living social a few weeks ago and decided to get our sea food on. I got the Rhett's salad (small portion) with crab cake and a cup of She Crab soup. The crab cake was the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly tender with soft crab lumps throughout. The soup - a little on the salty side, but it didn't keep me from eating it. I will eat there again.

And get the same thing.

Because that is my M.O.

It was nice to get out and about on a Tuesday! I didn't count the points of dinner, but I'm pretty sure it was close to adding up to my daily total.
