Hello, bloggies! Did you get out and vote today??? (We're watching the polls come in right now.) Today was a busy day. I got to work a little early today and had breakfast at my desk. I had a cliff bar 2pts and some perrier water 0pts. I am trying something new. I found out from my bestie, Allee, that I should be drinking half my weight in oz. of water per day. Big surprise there- lots of water- dur. But it's quantifiable, I can measure it and tick it off my list. Check it at my stats at the bottom of the post. (Side Note: Did you know that crossing items off a to-do list releases endorphins [happy chemicals] which is why we write things on to-do lists that we've already done and cross them off).

Work was busy for most of the day. I had a lot on my plate, but fortunately I got enough sleep last night and was able to stay on top of my day. The student I worked with today is doing awesome! Its so great when you see real progress in their learning skills.
I found a minute to break for lunch around 2:00. I had a Smart Ones Fettuccine Alfredo 4pts and some roasted brussel sprouts I made last night 1pt. Oh, man these are going to be a repeat. I swore off brussel sprouts about 10 years ago and didn't try them until I visited a friend this year and they weren't bad. Could have been better. I'm making it my mission to try a wider variety of food and make it in a way I can stomach it. I roasted these with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper. Yum! I had a ddp- guilty pleasure too.
After work, I had some errands and YOGA! Loved it. Although, I think I ran out of calories 1/2 way through the session because I got really dizzy and my eyes crossed. Blood Sugar Crash! At least it was in a more passive pose where I could regroup. I think on days I exercise in the afternoons, I need to add a snack. Yoga lasted an hour and a half +5 activity points.
Dinner was the second I walked in the door from yoga. I had a baked chili potato. The potato was a little bigger than usual so I used less chili to balance the points 8pts.
Delish! |
Currently we're watching the news commentary on the election (have been for 3 hours and will continue through the rest of the night knowing hubby. He keeps me educated). I escaped for a bath to soothe my baby muscles from yoga. I also had 1/3 of a pomegranate 1pt with some more perrier. Gotta keep my immune system up as the winter is starting to set in. (I hate hate hate cold weather).
Any suggestions on how to eat a pomegranate? I am pretty sure my fingers are going to be stained red tomorrow! |
