Happy Monday, everyone! I hope your weeks have all gotten off to a great start! I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with the amount there is to do already! For breakfast, I had a cliff bar 2pts before going to train my student.
After working with my student, I dropped Matt off at work and headed home to get some thesis work done on my own. That's how the majority of my day was spent. I munched on a few pretzels for 1pt while working.
I am getting a new student tomorrow and I am really excited to work with him, but his sessions are going to be from 4:30-5:30 everyday. AKA- the same time I run with Rebecca Mon/Wed, and too late for me to make it to my 5:30 yoga class Tue/Thurs. I am a little frustrated that I am having to completely derail my exercise regime! I was cranky all day thinking about that. I think I've got some options figured out though. Just going to have to work a little harder to get it all in! I had a Smart Ones Ravioli dish for lunch for 5pts.
I had a late lunch so pretty soon after it was time for my run with Rebecca. We got in 30-40 minutes running around downtown. We ran through a cemetery and saw some nice areas +2 activity pts. It felt awesome.
Out the door for our run. Taking a stopwatch this time! |
Right after the run, I booked it to pick up Matt from work and get to my WW meeting. I am down 3.6 lbs this week! Looks like staying OP this week payed off. Despite all the pizza and beer from the weekend!! PS- has anyone tried Mama's Little Yella Pills? Its a great pilsner by Oskar Blues and I am in love...again. Its been a while since I had it.
So, I'm pretty happy about the loss. I'm going to try and work hard this week to lose again. The 150's are in my reach, baby! The meeting today was about preparing for Thanksgiving and holidays that are all about food. The most important thing is preparation and defining what you want before you get there. Think ahead about what are necessities for the celebration- things you couldn't do without or else it wouldn't be thanksgiving, christmas, ect. Family tradition foods and your favorite pie. Count up the calories, points, ect you'll use on those.
Then, get an idea in your head of how many calories/points you want to use for the day. Are you going to use all your weekly points that one day? Are you going to try to eat 2,000 calories that day? Less? More? After you answer that, you can plan how you'll use the remainders. I think its a good strategy. Being focused before getting into any situation keeps you under control.
For dinner, we found two coupons that were about to expire for McDonald's value meals. So free dinner is better than dinner we have to pay for any day! So yeah, you might gasp to see this on a healthy food/dieting blog, but fast food happens. And its so tasty! I had a quarter pounder meal. Quarter Pounder 12pts and 520 calories, with regular fries 8pts and 380 calories.
Its shameless. Gotta post it though! |
We are now watching the first Harry Potter movie and chilling for the rest of the night. All of the HP movies are on demand to get ready for the 7th movie! Poor Matt having to join in my marathon. :)
I'm going to try and get in some more water before bed so I meet my quota. Also, if you missed either of my last two posts, you can check them out below!
