My chiropractor said that I need to eat more meat...like a lot more meat- as in with every meal...and reduce my carbs...ew. Carbs are like my favorite thing in the world, not sugary carbs, but potatoes, pasta, bread, beer, yes please. And that is precisely what I am supposed to limit because I may have an insulin regulation issue- hypoglycemia or something. I don't see this going well. Anyway, its probably better, because I certainly don't crave meat. at all. But carbs- such as beer and french fries- beget more carbs. Anyway, I'm going to try it this week until I get my blood work back at least.
I have decided that I need to set some goals for myself to get motivated. I haven't decided for sure, but here are some of my ideas:
-Lose 5 lbs: Get hair done
-Lose 10 lbs: Bikini Wax
-Lose 15 lbs: Get new dress
-Lose 10% body weight: massage
-Get into 140's: pedi/massage
I'll probably adjust them over the next week, but I think those are going to be my long term goals and rewards.
In the short term, I'm going to give myself weekly goals to try and meet. For this week, they are:
-Eat out only 1x M-F
-No alcohol during weekdays
-No artificial sugar (kill me now)
-Protein every breakfast

Skinny Broccoli Mac N Cheese
I found this on Gina's blog, Skinny Taste, yesterday and decided it was a must have for the week. I can't wait to try some tonight! I think Matt will even be a fan! It's 8pts+ per serving and makes 8 servings.
Week 7: The Rest
I've been sick the rest of week 7 unfortunately and sleeping most of it. I'm at work today, but not feeling too hot. Basically, I ate out (and off plan) most of the weekend. I had chilli's, chipotle, the tavern, and some west main. oof probably killed a lot of my weight loss this week. I need to come up with a plan for the weekends.

Week 7: Day 3
Wednesday was a rough day for me. I was feeling awfully poopie from the chiro visit and really soar with a really bad headache, so I struggled through my work day. I had a sweet potato with light butter with breakfast for 4pts.
For lunch, my boss gave me half of his sadwich to eat. I added it into the tracker with estimated amounts and it came out with 8pts. That seems like a lot for half of a turkey sandwich, but I'll go with it.
I wasn't allowed to eat after 7:30 pm and had to fast for over 12 hours for some blood work I was having done Thursday morning. Since I had to go crazy long with no food, I had a really big dinner. I had a chicken sandwich and fries with a friend a cobbs before heading to the Goo Goo Dolls concert. WW says 18 pts for dinner. Woohoo!

Week 7: Day 2
Tuesday, I went to the chiropractor for a back adjustment. It was awesome- basically. It felt like my whole body was sighing. (Until 6 hrs later when I got the massive headache from the toxins released in my system.) I am not really sure (other than my back pain) if chiropractic care can aid in solving some of my other problems, but I can at least try this and see if it helps.
I skipped breakfast since my apt was before I generally eat it. I had a cobbs kris salad for lunch- my staple, for 4pts.
Dinner was tortilla soup, noms 2pts.
After that, I had cookies and milk for 5pts.
And snacked on some pringles for 4pts.
With some detox tea 0pts.
Matt and I went for a 45 minute walk with Bear at 9pm to get moving for +3 activity points.

Week 7: Day 1
Monday, Monday, Monday. I woke up at 5am to my dad on the phone wondering if I was calling him. Nope, I wasn't. Then I woke up an hour and a half later to a client calling with a crisis. Nope, not on the clock. FML. I had a biscuit with jelly and butter for breakfast for 6pts.
Work went fairly well after being woken up ungodly early. I had a Lean Cuisine for lunch for 8pts.
I had some detox tea at work which was a nice break.
After work, I got some errands run which was nice. I also went to a ww meeting to weigh in. I was down .4 lbs for a kind of crappy loss. I'm am going to kick that to the curb this week, so I'm excited. This was day two sin alcohol too. Matt and I watched The Fighter while having dinner. I had chicken tortilla soup for 3pts with some fries 6pts and a few bites of Matt's chinese food for 6pts.

Week 5: Day 4
Yesterday was an absolute disaster. I woke up late so I had to leave the house without breakfast. I didn't get to eat lunch until 11:30, and didn't make it to dinner until 9:30. It. was. a. day. I had a salad from cobbs for 4pts+ for lunch.
I had a really busy day the rest of the day working with students, meeting with parents, managing trainers etc, and went straight from work to an event for work where we had a booth. I had a chocolate chip cookie while working the booth for 4pts+.
The one thing I really enjoyed about the day was listening to Dr. Tedd Hollowell's talk on ADD and ADHD at PVCC. He is a leader in the field of ADHD diagnostics, treatment, and coaching. I went as a continuing ed op for work, but it really helped me put into perspective how to talk to parents of children with ADD and ADHD.
When I got home I made some baked fries for 6pts+. I had a cupcake and milk for 5pts+. I had some pepperoni for 8pts+, and some cinnamon toast crunch for 3pts+. Yeah, I went a little over board, but I had been starving all day.

Week 5: Day 3
Breakfast was a chocolate cupcake! 3pts+ Work was really busy today. I had several meetings with parents, a lot of prep work in the morning, and radio show to do over lunch. Here's the radio clip from the Schilling Show!
For lunch, I had a greek style salad with romaine 0pts+, cucumbers 0pts+, tomatoes 0pts+, 3 oz. turkey breast 2pts+, 1 oz. feta cheese 2pts+, and some cucumber dressing 2pts+.
For dinner, I made a pizza on a flat out for 2pts+, with marinara sauce 1pts+, feta and asiago cheese 2pts, tomato 0pts+, broccoli 0pts+, and mushrooms 0pts+. It was delicious, but I'm going to use tomato sauce instead of marinara next time since it was a little watery. I had half a cup of milk (out of the jug so no pic) with dinner for 1pts+.
We did a little house work after dinner before going to see The Ides of March which I'm still digesting- not sure how I feel about it. We got coffee before the show from starbucks. I had a light coffee frap for 3pts+, a bag of layes chips 8pts+ (holy crap!), and a few of Matt's M&M's 2pt+.

Points Plus Cupcakes
Matt made these for me for my birthday and it was pretty much the best surprise ever. I like them better when they have cooled down, and I actually like them better than normal cupcakes. They are 114 calories each compared to the 240 calories of a normal cupcake. They are crazy good and the easiest thing in the world to make. The recipe makes 18 cupcakes which are 3pts+ values per cupcake. If you make bigger cupcakes (12/recipe) they are 4pts+ per cupcake.
Ingredients:
1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
1 15 oz. can of pumpkin puree
1/4-1/2 cup water (I used 1/2 so they would be more dense, use 1/4 if you want them to be more cake like.)
Directions:
1. Mix it all together.
2. Bake in cupcake tin at 350 F for 27-32 minutes. I baked for 28 mins.
3. Enjoy!
