I sipped a Perrier with lunch. I am trying to cut down my soda intake. I only have ~1 diet soda a day (sometimes 2). I've tried cutting out aspertaime before, but diet soda is so convenient and makes it easy to avoid sweets- not to mention, I kind of love how it tastes. Anyway, no soda today. I had success replacing soda and alcohol with sparkling water. It gives you the soda fizz, and if you put it in a goblet or in a glass with ice and lime you don't get offered nearly as many drinks. So, doing my little part to cut back. I think stopping all together will have to wait for another day, but I'm sure Marcy (thanks, chica!) will keep me on my toes about it. Its certainly not great for you. More importantly, if you have some spare time- watch this video on HFCS when you get a chance! (Thanks @Christina Pappas!)
The afternoon DRAGGED along. I wanted to go home around 4 and just watched the clock tick by. For dinner, I had the leftover fiesta chicken and rice bake again for 7pts. I LOVE this stuff! I got the recipe from Darci at My Road to Weightloss.
I had a pretty bad headache after work for some reason (I think its the front that's blowing through) so I didn't go to the gym like I had been planning. I snacked on 1/4 cup of ff cottage cheese (about 1/2 what's pictured) with a little watermellon (3 bites) for 2pts.

After dinner, I caught up on the blog world while watching Grey's Anatomy and Wed night's episode of Cougar Town. I love my programs crappy television!
I snacked on a 3 organic flax seed crackers for another point while watching 1pt (not pictured). I would have eaten more for the day (15 pts is not really enough), but I was feeling so crappy I went to sleep super early. I also added a new before/after face shot to the "Progress Photos" page. You're still going to have to wait until I'm below 163 for my full shot!

ReplyDeleteI go into hospital on Monday for Cortisone as have infection ( lesion ) on my brain...I regret my years and years of living on Aspartame.
Yay for you giving up sodas! I stopped drinking them for Lent my sophomore year of high school and the headaches I hadn't been able to get a handle on for 5 years went away. Haven't looked back since!
