Panera is the Devil. Fri W40.

So Friday was a bit of a disaster in the nutrition department. It started out alright before training my student with a kids cliff bar 2pts.

I had a few pretzels 1pt on my way *back* out the door to go to lab and work on my thesis. Look at little Bear sitting on his pillow, hoping he gets some! He knows when I pick up my keys he has to be on his pillow and a lot of the time he gets a treat.

It was a pretty busy day at work. I spent it all working on the thesis. It is crunch time now. I did get to take a break for lunch and get a bite to eat with CJ who I haven't seen in forever! This..is where my day started to go horribly wrong (nutritionally of course, otherwise it was a high point). I got the you pick 2. I had tomato soup 7pts and a whole grain baguette 3pts (what I generally get), but I also got mac n cheese as a side. Their mac n cheese is soooo tasty. I thought it would cost me in points. I thought it would be like 8 points or something. The side salad I usually get is 4. NOPE 12 points!!!! Ah well, should have looked it up before I went instead of after. That's a 22 point (970 calorie) lunch. Fail.
22 point lunch
Since I was already out of points when I got home, I had a cliff bar for dinner 2pts. It was enough to keep me from ordering fries when I went to pick up food for Matty from Wendy's- a minor miracle because fries are my favorite food. Matt stayed in for the night to work on his phd. quals. He's got 2 more weeks so say a prayer that he keeps his sanity!!

I however, did not stay in. I went out with some friends for some brew. I had about 12pts of beer while out. Good beer is so costly in points!! Its like a meal in a cup...and awesome.

  1. gah. they should put warnings on stuff like that. totally not fair. I need a tirmasu for that kind of a calorie sacrifice. Mac & cheese = ninja calories.
