Despite the off track weekend I had, I managed to come though with a loss of 2.2 lbs this week, putting me at 159.6. Back into the 150's and back to 22 points per day.
I had a truffle for breakfast 2pts, 90 calories, 3pts+. Its a fitting Valentine's Day breakfast, right?
Since we're grad students- aka poor- and also saving up to go to my best friend's wedding in Scottland in May, he wasn't going to go. I got a bonus and did some babysitting and viola- tickets bought. I've been wanting to give them to him all weekend since I bought them! I did spend all last night waiting for Matt to fall asleep so I could make this ridiculous garment for him to sport.

For lunch, I had the salad I had planned for last night, but wasn't hungry enough to eat. It is 4pts and 234 calories, and 4pts+ (since you don't have to count the grapefruit or spinach). My recipe (modified from here at Eating Bird Food) seemed like a good Valentine's Day concoction. I don't like grapefruit, but I was trying to branch out. I still didn't love the grapefruit, but it was better than normal and the rest of the salad was awesome. I also had unsweet iced tea and a cup of Amy's low fat low sodium organic cream of tomato soup. I'm going to have to get more of this- 2pts, 110 calories, 2.5pts+.
After lunch, I spent some time reviewing a patent application for my research before heading to work. Unfortunately, my student canceled so I was pretty bummed that I drove all the way there for the family to call last minute, but such is life. I salvaged the hour and a half by dashing home and tossing on my running shoes to soak in some of this amazing weather we're having! It was in the 50's today! It felt good to be back running, but it was a tough run for me. I have never run in so much wind! I felt like I was getting clobbered with every step! Oh well, my scheduled run was 2.5 miles. My first 2 miles were 11 minute miles and the last 1/2 mile was 6 minutes, so a little slower. I didn't have it in me to run the last 1/3 of the mile home, I was just glad I finished the 2.5. +2 activity points -250 calories.
I also had a piece of my Valentine from the kids I babysit for. Fudge and Marscipone 2pts? 100 calories? It was small!
Overall, I did pretty well today. I ate the foods I planned out yesterday, save for the Valentine goods. At least I am rationing them out though. I got an entire box of chocolate from one of my students that will be heading to work with Matt tomorrow unopened.
*Addition to post: I ended up having a beer with some friends while delivering Valentine's 4pts 200 calories....and then I had a small glass of wine 2pts 80 calories.*
